NOGOMETAS76 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 I'm trying to add linetypes using the acad.lin file and making adjustments. All is fine, but I can't figure out how to create a linetype that has the appearance of a HIDDEN line, with the letter 'V' repeated every so often. eg. __ __ __ v __ __ __ v __ __ __ v __ __ __ Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance Quote
JPlanera Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 put this ion your acad.lin file. experiment with settings as required *Hidded_V, custom hidden line ---v---v---v--- A,.2,-.2,.2,-.2,.2,-.2,["V",STANDARD,S=.2,U=0.0,X=-.1,Y=0.0],-.2 Quote
SLW210 Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Try using the help file already in AutoCAD. Help>Customization Guide>Custom Linetypes>Text in Custom Linetypes. If you have specific questions come back here and ask them. You might also try searching on CADTutor, I believe this question has come up several times. Quote
ReMark Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 Did someone say "create linetypes"? http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?27454-Options-for-creating-linetypes. Quote
The Buzzard Posted January 18, 2011 Posted January 18, 2011 (edited) See this thread: I posted some complex linetypes. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?55049-Bush-Line-Linetype This linetype definition below may be what you are looking for. It was made with MKLTYPE command from Express Tools. This is a very easy way to make linetypes. V.lin *V,V Line A,.0625,-.0625,.125,-.03125,["V",Standard,y=-.046875,s=.09375],-.125,.125,-.0625,.0625 Edited January 19, 2011 by The Buzzard Quote
