kpo101 Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 I have Arch. 2010 installed and I learned here(on CADTutor) how to make my version vanilla,I like it in the vanilla mode, But It won't stay vanilla after closing it down and reopening it. It always go back to Arch., Any suggestions? I have a few more questions to ask, but I will wait and not be to bothersome today. Quote
ReMark Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Would it work if you saved it as a Workspace? Quote
Blam Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 And what profile is it setting when you start Architectural? Some shortcut icons have a /p (profile switch) set in them that will launch the AutoCAD product to a certain profile. Right-click on the program desktop shortcut and check for the /p option. Quote
kpo101 Posted January 22, 2011 Author Posted January 22, 2011 Upon giving it a try, it will open in vanilla from a file only that i named 2010 Van., but thats seems to be the only way. And as far as the (profile switch) there was nothing after i right clicked on the icon except for the standard open, open file folder, open file location, enable/disable digital signature, send to, cut, copy, create shortcut, delete, rename & properties. Any other suggestions? Quote
BIGAL Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 My start up icon has D:\Autocad2011\acad.exe /ld "D:\Autocad2011\AecBase.dbx" /p "my2011" The my2011 is what I have called my profile for plain autocad use /p "Autocad" 2nd step is you need to save a new workspace its the gear wheel button bottom right say your name KPO101 once you have Autocad looking the way you want a bit of a trick is turn save changes "on" in workpace settings make your changes and save then turn it off again so you cant accidently ruin your good work. A couple of go's and you should master it. I have 7 workspaces set up autocad civ3d map etc Quote
irneb Posted January 24, 2011 Posted January 24, 2011 If the problem you have is that ACA only has the ribbon, you may want to look into this: http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/AutoCAD-Architecture/looking-for-classic-menus-ACA-2011/m-p/2728577 Quote
