czc Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 When you have an idw or dwg in inventor and you make changes that you need to show the client you Rev the drawing up A, B, C, D... Me physically saving the idw everytime as REV whatever just gives me extra idw files with the same part, assembly. Because its linked. Is the best way to go to pdf every revision before changing and not include the REV no in the idw file in windows explorer. Thanks I hope this mad sense. Quote
rdharvey Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 The way we do it is just add a revision box to the idw stating the change... no need to keep the old drawing...? :/ hmm Quote
czc Posted February 14, 2011 Author Posted February 14, 2011 I guess I'm just trying to do it the why I do it on autocad. I do write in the revision but also keep an old version of the file. Quote
