SPACECADET Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 This forum has helped me many times in the past without having to post a question I have searched everywhere and can't get a definative answer on this. I have a block with attributes. I want to straight swap that block with a different block which has it's own attributes, seems simple enough? express tools Blockreplace will replace the block with the new block name, but it seems to keep the original block attributes. Am I missing something? Quote
ReMark Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 Have you tried using the ATTSYNC command? Quote
SPACECADET Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 Yes, tried attsync, no luck. short of re typing the attribute info of the new block via battman I can't understand why the new attributes don't come in with the new block. Quote
SPACECADET Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 This problem has been solved by forum member Smirnoff and his code when helping someone in this thread, cool forum. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?56790-Replace-only-selected-blocks-with-a-different-one&p=384682&posted=1#post384682 Thank you Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Glad to hear your problem has been solved. Thanks for updating us too. Quote
dbroada Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Glad you're sort but it is interesting that ATTSYNC (& regen?) didn't work. Does that mean something has changed in 2011 as it has worked well enough in the past. Quote
SPACECADET Posted February 11, 2011 Author Posted February 11, 2011 My thoughts exactly! I may try a re-install. I'm having problems with a couple of commands. Quote
ReMark Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 Do NOT reinstall before first trying the REPAIR option. That would be like changing all 4 tyres (tires) on your car just because one is flat. Quote
dbroada Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 its OK Mark, you spelt (spelled) tyres correctly for us Quote
