Replace block and its attributes with new block and attributes

This forum has helped me many times in the past without having to post a question

I have searched everywhere and can't get a definative answer on this.

 

I have a block with attributes. I want to straight swap that block with a different block which has it's own attributes, seems simple enough?

 

express tools Blockreplace will replace the block with the new block name, but it seems to keep the original block attributes. Am I missing something?

Have you tried using the ATTSYNC command?

Yes, tried attsync, no luck. short of re typing the attribute info of the new block via battman I can't understand why the new attributes don't come in with the new block.

Glad you're sort but it is interesting that ATTSYNC (& regen?) didn't work. Does that mean something has changed in 2011 as it has worked well enough in the past.

I may try a re-install. I'm having problems with a couple of commands.

Do NOT reinstall before first trying the REPAIR option. That would be like changing all 4 tyres (tires) on your car just because one is flat.
