frankie78
Hi guys, I just recieved a file and I want to change layers' clours, linetype, and so on. The problem is it won't let me as if all the layers are on lock. The only layers that are not locked are 0 and defpoint. When I turn the layer off in the layer manager, it shows off but on the drawing, it's still on, and soon as I exit the layer manager and go back into it, the layer is on as if I did not turn it off in the first place. Any suggestion is much appreciated.

ReMark
Was this an original AutoCAD drawing file to begin with or one of those so-called .dwg files created by another CAD package?
frankie78
It was an original file, I have worked my way around it though. But the problem did stunn me, as I needed to import the revised Arch background onto ours. Never experienced it before. I simply made it into a block, then inserted onto my drawing, and exploded it. That way it was O.K, and the layers could be changed. Cheers
