resullins Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 I have figured this out before, but for the life of me can't remember how to get rid of this little ******. When you hover over something, that little window pops up that shows basic properties, layer, type, whatever. How in the world do you get rid of that? Oh, and I'm using 2011. Quote
nestly Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Turn off Quick Properties on your status bar.... if you absolutely hate QP, right click it, then select "Display", then uncheck "Quick Properties" and it won't be displayed on the status bar anymore so you won't have to worry about accidentally clicking it. Quote
resullins Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 I also just found it in the Options > Roll Over Tool Tips. I hate all that hover stuff they've been doing with the last few releases. Thanks! Quote
rkmcswain Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Quick Properties and Rollover Tooltips are two different things. It sounds like you might want to check out this link: http://www.blog.cadnauseam.com/2010/03/25/autocad-2011-putting-things-back-to-normal/ Quote
resullins Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 But Tool Tips turned whatever it was off. I thought it was properties, but I got rid of it. Quote
Glen1980 Posted February 17, 2011 Posted February 17, 2011 Quick properties is the small version of the properties panel that only appears if you select an element the rollover tips appear if you hover your mouse over an element. The rollover tips give you element information tooltips give you information on commands on the toolbar, extended tooltips give visual help on the toolbar commands. They have made the programme rather bloated lately, but it does give you something new to learn and stop you getting bored and gives you the chance for *****ing to colleagues by complaining that it used to be simpler! resullins Posted February 17, 2011 Author Posted February 17, 2011 Yeah, I've just gotten into the world of LISPS, which I know isn't a new concept, but that's all I can learn right now. My colleagues and I were waiting for them to come out with a TCount kind of command for blocks, and since they never did, I went out and found one! My brain is full... I just want everything else to work like it does in my mind! Ha! Quote
