harley558 Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 At my home I have the student version of IV 2010, thats to say I used to, the 13 month liscense has expired. If I totally uninstall what is on my system will I be able to install the 30 day trial version of IV 2010 LT? Also if I download the free viewer what all can the viewer do? Can you zoom in and also rotate objects? Quote
Organic Posted February 18, 2011 Posted February 18, 2011 The 'free viewer' is Autodesk DWG TrueView I assume you mean. You can defiantly zoom in and out in this, although I doubt you can rotate objects in it (certainly not save them anyway). Quote
Lazer Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Witht the viewer you can rotate, zoom, pan etc and measure angles and distance, not sure you can uninstall the student version and install the LT version? but you can install the 30 trial of 2011 or better still the soon released 2012. Quote
Organic Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 So long as you remove all registry key entries (don't even attempt this if you don't know what you are doing), you should be able to install the trial version without any problem as it has no way of knowing then that the student version was installed previously even. MarkFlayler Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 the Student version is now 3 years log back in and check the FAQ. Quote
MarkFlayler Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 You cannot install LT after the same year for Inventor was already installed regardless of Full or LT. Clearing the registry also does not trick Inventor. Quote
