cduke5 Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 It takes me too long to produce shop drawings. I am decent on ACAD and eventually end up with a good set of shop drawings but I was never taught an organized method for taking a set of architectural drawings and producing a set of shop drawings which include a cover page, key plan, elevations and details. Is there a reference guide out there that would help me? Quote
Lazer Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Do you have a Design Manager? he should be the best person to talk to, ask him what work flow he follows and a copy of the company drawing standards. Personally I draw the complete drawing then break it down to component parts, we use a company template drawing and fill out the title block with the relevant information. I often start with looking into how many drawings I will need then set out the part numbers for them. Quote
ReMark Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 Any good architectural design/drafting book would have what you need. Quote
