Text on an arc

I would like to Emboss text on a part that is shaped like a half moon. When I click on the text box there is no option for creating text on an arc. I searched on here but haven't found any related topics. If someone could help that would be great.

In Autocad's express tools, there's an "arc-aligned" text option, but I don't know about inventor. perhaps you could generate the text in autocad and import it?

Geometry Text - can't remember what release it was introduced.

Not sure why anyone would want to use AutoCAD if they have Inventor.

I tried to import from Autocad but the only text that made it was the horizontal text. The arc text never showed up.

I'm in sketch mode in 2007 Inventor 11 and am unable to find "Geometry Text".

My system informs me that the 3D text add-on is a virus threat and I've also since found out that arc aligned text for 2007 Inventor 11 never existed. Would anyone else have any suggestions.

Either trust the add-in or use AutoCAD.

Perhaps you could download 30-day trial or 2011

or

perhaps free Inventor Fusion includes geometry text http://labs.autodesk.com (if you try, let us know if it does or doesn't)
