oompa_l Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 I have found that the only way to maintain the formatting of fields showing a pline's area when selecting a new one is to copy the pline and text with field at the same time. the question is, is there a better way? I have run into a new problem where this workaround isnt even working - when fields are inserted into tables. When I copy a table with fields in it and the associated plines I am not getting the usual transference that I typically get - the fields remain connected to the original plines, not the newly copied ones.I dont understand why tables would behave differently. Can anyone suggest a solution? thanks so much in advance Quote
BlackBox Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Typically one waits more than +/- a minute before making a duplicate post... on a weekend, no less. Many of us frequent multiple forums, and find it a waste of time seeing the same posts repeatedly. In the future, please make a duplicate post only after a reasonable amount of time has passed without yielding the desired result(s). Quote
oompa_l Posted February 26, 2011 Author Posted February 26, 2011 Noted. Now that we have that cleared up, do you have any suggestions? Quote
BlackBox Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 Noted. Now that we have that cleared up, do you have any suggestions? Yeah... ... I have run into a new problem where this workaround isnt even working - when fields are inserted into tables. ... It seems like the problem is the field(s) in the table... I'd suggest you post your macro(s) (DIESEL?). Quote
oompa_l Posted March 1, 2011 Author Posted March 1, 2011 I think I tried it two ways, one copying the field that had been created outside the table and pasting it, and the other creating it from scratch. same results either way Quote

If you are serious about getting assistance, please post your macro(s) (perhaps a sample drawing too?). Quote
oompa_l Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 hi sorry for the delay. i still havent figured this out. And to be honest I dont know what a macro is in this case. I have attached a drawing that illustrates the problem. Please let me know if you need any further clarification. thanks so much FIELDAREAPROBLEM.dwg Quote
