thegodplato Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 just trying out Inventor 2010 and going through the tutorials but struggling a little. I have drawn the rectangle but can't centre it. In Autocad you could just select the rectangle and move it via the midpoint to wherever you needed. I can't seem to find anything as easy as that in Inventor - unless I'm not looking in the right place! Quote

czc Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 On one of Rob Cohee's videos on youtube I saw him do it with a vertical and horizontal constraint. The other way I saw before was with a construction line between the two corners of the rectangle, square and a constraint on that. Quote
mechman Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 there is an add in somewhere that we use that gives you the option to start drawing your rectangle from a mid point constraint, or one of the edges mid point... I think it may be called Qube-it tools? Quote
