Hi.

I'm currently drawing some projects for a contractor, and he doesn't use ACAD, and has required PDF files of the drawings, but I cant seem to get the scale to be correct when I convert/print PDF files.

Im having some problems when converting my acad drawing to PDF, and when I print out the PDF file. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong, and could anyone give me some pointers/hints on how to successfully convert my acad drawings to some sort of "picture-file" that can be printed so I achieve correct scale?

I know it might be asking alot, but its really a hurry now, as I am on a deadline that runs out thursday 03.03.2011!!

I can be reached at dj_kiiz@yahoo.com

Many thanks!

Join the dozens, if not more, of people who complain about plotting to a PDF and having an issue with scale.

Post one of your PDF files here so we can play around with it. Maybe we can discern what the problem is.

Post a screen shot of your plot parameters too so we can see what settings you are using.

Are you generating a PDF from model space or from a layout?

My guess (assuming you correctly plot the acad drawing to pdf form in scale) is that when printing the pdf you are scaling the pdf to fit to page/paper or some other scaling option in the pdf print settings.

Seeing as today was the deadline, I suppose some one emailed him or he figured it out. Some people just like to make it hard to help them help themselves.

I think Dink87522 hit the nail on the head. He probably had "page scaling" set incorrectly in the pdf settings in Acrobat, or whatever pdf reader he uses. I don't think this was an Autocad issue.

But unless he comes back and updates this thread, I guess we will never know. :|
