davidsivevski Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Ok, In our office a few of us have been upgraded to the standard version of AutoCAD 2011 but there is still a few people in the office that use AutoCAD Architecture 2008. The people using Architecture 2008 use the Project Navigator to sift through their drawings and such. When those people open a drawing that has CAD 2011 information in it the Project Navigator does not open as it usually does and when you try to open it it comes up with a msg that says "this is not allowed because there is information from a newer CAD version in the drawing". Does anyone know how to fix this??? without starting CAD first then opening the drawing??? Your fellas help is much appreciated Quote
SLW210 Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Save your AutoCAD drawings down to 2007 version. Install Object enablers. Quote
davidsivevski Posted March 18, 2011 Author Posted March 18, 2011 Thanks SLW210, We already save our drawings in 2007 format, in terms of the object enablers, I have looked on the Autodesk website and there is loads of different but specific "object Enablers" for different disiplines but not a general Object Enabler to work from one cad version to another. Do you know what specific "object Enabler" I need? Cheers! Quote
SLW210 Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 I get all of them, cause I never know what I will be receiving. Each has a description, either get them all or read through and pick the ones you think you'll need. While you are at it, you may as well make sure you have all the updates and hot fixes etc. Quote
