marmo Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Hi guys, how can I open file acad.pgp from the command prompt, without going through menu Tools ---> Customize ---> Edit Program Parameters Thanks, Marco Quote
Glen1980 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Yep, just checked on full. ALIASEDIT brings up the dialogue box for your pgp or did you want it to open in wordpad? Quote
marmo Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Hi Glen1980, I would like to open the file acad.pgp in worpad because some alias are related to lisp routine and these do not appear with ALIASEDIT. Thanks, Marco Quote
Glen1980 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Sorry Aliasedit is the only way I can find without typing ai_custfile_acad.pgp. I mainly use LT and that doesn't have aliasedit and typing the longhand won't work either so I wound up putting a shortcut on the startbar so I could get to it quickly. I also found that the search bar would return only the edit pgp command if I search edit pg and hit enter. Maybe one of the others knows a better way (they usually do!) Quote
SLW210 Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Alt, T, C, P Alt, T, C, P, P You have to hit P twice the first P is Tool Palettes, the second P is Edit Program Parameters (acad.pgp) Quote
marmo Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Hi, "start> acad.pgp" is a universal solution, alt + T, C, P, P depends on the workspace and the type of menu displayed because "alt+..." is simply quick access to menu. Thanks, Marco Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Just a word about using text editors for your pgp file...use one like Notepad that generates a true .txt file. If you use Word or some other word processor, you sometimes get formatting and special characters that will drive Autocad nuts. This may be one of my leftovers from the old days, but "back in the day" even wordpad would screw it up. Quote

marmo Posted March 29, 2011 Author Posted March 29, 2011 Hi, I agree with Jack_O'neill. I think during the installation of Autocad you must specify text editor such as Notepad... Quote
alanjt Posted March 29, 2011 Posted March 29, 2011 Hi, I agree with Jack_O'neill. I think during the installation of Autocad you must specify text editor such as Notepad... Oh yeah, I forgot about that. It defaults to Notepad and I never think twice about it. Quote
