Inventor Locking Up During Renders

I have tried everything I can think and i cant seem to get this animation to render(or just a single frame).

 

I have tried putting the desination directory in several places including the current project directory. I have tried rendering the file uncompressed and every other codec listed. I have used different lighting and environments etc. I have even tried rendering the scene(about 7 seconds) as an image file where it saves each frame. Everytime it locks up during or just after the first frame and either get an error message or it just disapears(the program). Here is a screen shot of the error message.

The animation runs fine if i just play it in the timeline, but rendering its giving me a lot of trouble. I have rendered scenes and animations before. Is there an update for Inventor pro 10 that i am missing maybe?

I have seen your error message before, I have had it when I have lots of stuff running in the background.

hmm, i tried restarting and only running inventor and i got the same message. I have access to another computer running inventor 11, im going to try the render on there tomorrow to see if i get the same error.
