andrew239 Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Can someone point me in the direction of a good tutorial for the use of Solview and Soldraw please? I am generating viewports using the solview command, but when i go to do the soldraw i keep getting the message "non-solview viewports ignored", even when i used solview to create the viewport. I am obviously missing something. Quote
tzframpton Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 Not to take away from you wanting to learn SOLVIEW and SOLDRAW but it's an outdated way of sectioning. Have you tried the SECTIONPLANE command? Quote
ReMark Posted April 4, 2011 Posted April 4, 2011 You can also use the FLATTEN command to generate 2D views of 3D objects. Quote
andrew239 Posted April 5, 2011 Author Posted April 5, 2011 i worked out the flatshot option, though i was just trying to learn something new. I get frustrated when i cant work something out lol. Quote
ReMark Posted April 5, 2011 Posted April 5, 2011 Look for David Cohen's AutoDesk University 2010 handout for his lecture called Now Flatten This: Producing 2D Output from 3D models. It covers sections planes, flatshot and the commands solview, soldraw and solprof. The cousre number was AC322-3P. Quote
