clicker Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 is there a way to add a fill inside a polyline, without using hatch. If possible, I would like the fill to be a different color than the polyline itself Quote
nestly Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Are you referring to wide polylines, or closed polylines? Wide polylines will be filled if FILLMODE = 1 upon creation (or after regen if the FILLMODE is after polyline creation) however I don't think the fill color can be different than the outline since the outline of wide polyline isn't an object per se, it's merely an offset from the centerline. I'm not aware of any way to fill a closed polyline other than to hatch it with a hatch pattern or solid fill color. Quote

I'm trying to find a way to make the internal hatch a part of the polyline itself, and could be set to a different color. Sorry for not clarifying before. Quote
nestly Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Have you tried an associative hatch? The polyline and hatch are bound together, and you can control their colors independently. http://screencast.com/t/lz0dNVZE Quote

I knew about associative hatches but didn't think to use one here. Thanks. Quote
