gargoyle27 Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 this function used to work, but now it doesn't, could it have to do with what the program is set to open it? i recall there being more than one program to choose from under "open with" but i can only find one now. the files do open fine tho, so i don't know, maybe i just need to reinstall/repair the install? any thoughts? Jack_O'neill Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 When you hit the "open" button and the dialog box pops open, there should be a "views" pulldown menu somewhere near the top. Pull it down and select "thumbnails". Well, that's how it works in Autocad....I don't have Inventor but it should be close to the same. Quote
gargoyle27 Posted April 12, 2011 Author Posted April 12, 2011 i don't see anything like that the problem started when i installed the trial version of inventor 2011, it was probably kind of dumb to keep both 2009 and 2011 installed at the same time, but i didn't know what would happen, so now i uninstalled 2011 and i got the autocad previews to work, but not the inventor ones Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted April 12, 2011 Posted April 12, 2011 hmmm...I dunno then. Thought that was pretty standard throughout all the product lines, but I guess not...maybe JD will pop in here in a minute. He's the resident Inventor guru. Quote
