BauTomTom Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Hi I woudl like to import a excel tabble into my autocad drawing, but the thing is that it shoudl update itself. It means, when I change something in the excel file so then it should be updated in the Autocad drawing as well, wehn I open it. How can I do this? Tom Quote
ReMark Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Check out a program called EXCELLINK by CAD Studio. It's shareware. Quote
dbroada Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 or AutoCAD's own datalink tool - if available on LT Quote
BauTomTom Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Hi thanks for the answers and tips. But do I really need like aadditional software for it? Is there wo way to do it directly from excel into autocad? You can import the OLE objects but the problem ist, that AutoCAD doesn't show the full table only a section out of it. Ok I also don't know if then the table woudl be automaticly updated TomTom Quote
dbroada Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 it may be that you don't have it in LT but full AutoCAD does exactly what you are asking with datalink. however there are so many things LT can't do I wouldn't be surprised if this was just another. Quote
Balji Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 use Insert roll down menu, open ole object check screen shot for help hope it will help you. thanks Quote
ReMark Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 How does one update both AutoCAD and Excel when an OLE Object is used? Quote
