SamuraiX Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 Hi! I'm a new member. I used Acad 2009 way back and just used Acad 2011 recently and I'm having trouble with the changes. I can't figure out how to set a cutout image in Acad 2011, in a regioned rectangle and render it without seeing the rectangle and the background color, only the cutout image e.g tree, person. Thanks for your help.. Quote
fahim108 Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I assume that you are referring to the "opacity map" option in the materials flag. It should be there in ACAD2011 too, as it was in the earlier versions... :/ Quote
edwinprakoso Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 I think you are looking for something like this: http://cad-notes.com/2011/04/autocad-rendering-tip-using-cutouts-map-for-removing-materials/ Yes, it's still there. But you need to create a new generic material to have that option. Quote
SamuraiX Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 Thanks now I got it. I think my mistake was editing the two image in photoshop, and putting them wrong in the new material. But I have another problem, when I render the cutout image alone, its perfect. But when i put the cutout image(e.g tree) beside my house model and render with it, the tree isnt in the render. Its invisible? I only see the house. what could be the problem? Quote
