dusko Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 hello caders! title is pretty stupid but i can't think any better at this moment. i'm interested how can i pick up lots of nodes in shortest way (not to pick it one by one) to become red (editable)!? thank you! Quote
dusko Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 i tried now but what i would like to do is to select those points (nodes) to be red not blue (like when you pick line, this line has 3 blue points and than if you pick one blue node it becomes red). for example, if i select lots of splines and then i would like to "convert" hundret of selected blue points to become red ("double selected"). designerstuart Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 what like STRETCH command? do you want them red to move them around? Quote
dusko Posted April 18, 2011 Author Posted April 18, 2011 exactly, like STRETCH command. i'm only interesting if i can select them completly at once (to become red) in one step and not by picking them one by one!? Quote
eldon Posted April 18, 2011 Posted April 18, 2011 Would you care to share with the rest of us exactly what you are trying to do? Perhaps there is a technique that you are unfamiliar with, which might do what you are wanting. Quote
dusko Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 i have a van that is drawn with splines. i have to change dimensions of the van so i have to move splines (nodes) little bit left or right. probably i can do this with STRETCH but sometimes it is easier to pick 20-30 nodes and stretch them (so i think, maybe i'm wrong). so the thing is how to pick those 30 nodes and stretch them and not to pick them one by one (something like "second selection window")!? (i'll leave posibility that i do not know technique) Quote
eldon Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 If you are stretching something, you can use a crossing window or crossing polygon to pick up multiple nodes at once. You do not have to have the Grips showing. You have to be careful in positioning the window, and work on the fact that every node within the window will move as one. The nodes outside the window will stay where they are, so you are stretching that piece of line which is crossed by the window. It may sound complicated, but works a treat once you can place the window Quote
dbroada Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 highlighting what eldon says, don't forget when in the STRETCH comand you can type CP to draw your selection window. you can zoom in at the tricky bits if necessary. Quote
dusko Posted April 19, 2011 Author Posted April 19, 2011 thank you guys! crossing polygon is what helps! just for the record, is it possible to pick multiple nods at once to be red!? Quote
Organic Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 Hold down the Shift key when selecting objects to select multiple objects. Quote
designerstuart Posted April 19, 2011 Posted April 19, 2011 is it possible to pick multiple nods at once to be red!? no, i don't think it is. Quote
