Ahankhah Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 It isn't possible in ACAD or ACA 2007 without coding (AutoLISP or ARX), but in ACAD 2012 it is an option of SPLINEDIT command. Command: splinedit Select spline: Enter an option [Close/Join/Fit data/Edit vertex/convert to Polyline/Reverse/Undo/eXit] <eXit>: Quote

Ahankhah Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 How about saving as R12 DXF. No coding with that I saw the link in KramerO's post just after sending my reply, so you and KramerO are right. For learning this I thank you both. Quote

Just installed AutoCad and Civil 3D 2012 at the end of last week and will start to transition into them. Quote

cncpatriot Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 You can try out the new SPLINECAM app in Autodesk AppStore or download it from autocam2d.com/download link. Appstore link : http://apps.exchange.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Home/Index It converts splines to polylines/polyarcs with optimal number of vertices and smoothness. regards cncpatriot Quote
ReMark Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 I think you may have missed a few threads. Keep looking. Quote
Mike_Taylor Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Right click on the spline, go to the spline menu and select convert to polyline, select your degree of accuracy and your done. Quote
JD Mather Posted June 26, 2013 Posted June 26, 2013 Right click on the spline, go to the spline menu and select convert to polyline, select your degree of accuracy and your done. I just tried that and it didn't work for me. What g-code is a polyline? AFAIK the question was to convert to arcs (which would return in CAM software G02 or G03). http://www.cnccookbook.com/CCCNCGCodeArcsG02G03.htm Edit: never mind - I didn't read the entire thread and got this one confused with one of the other resurrected threads.
