BOB FINLEY Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 I tried to hatch on both acad 2002 & 2010 with the same drawing. It is a simple rectangle. It won't fillet the 2 locations that the red circles display. In acad 2010, when you try to hatch in either "select internal point" or "select objects", a message comes up "lines are not coplanar". How can you bring all the lines, no matter what layer they are in, onto the same plane. Please reply bob finley Quote
Organic Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 It is not something I would advise, although you can use the FLATTEN command. Quote
ReMark Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Various ways to get all objects back to a "Z" elevation of "0". How to flatten entities in AutoCAD to Z=0.doc Quote
Tyke Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 If you want to set just the lines to the ame Z value you can also use QSELECT to select all lines in the drawing and then in the properties pane set the start and end Z values to the value you want. They are then all coplanar. Quote
BOB FINLEY Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Hi i tried the flatten comand and it worked fine. Why would you not advise to use it. Regards bob finley Quote
ReMark Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Different strokes for different folks. Use whatever works for you. Consider any other method a "fail-safe" in case the one you use does not work. Quote
