DODGE Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Hi Guys I am halfway through a drawing spent 4 days on it so far. I can't seem to OFFSET anymore. Quite simply when I click my offset toolbar i get: SPECIFY OFFSET DISTANCE OR - Through. Before I used to click the toolbar and got: SPECIFY OFFSET DISTANCE - and then there was the little box to type the distance. I can't seem to get that back now. I haven't changed anything or clicked anything by accident, it just started doing this halfway through this drawing, I'm using AutoCad 2009 Anybody help got to get this finished by the morning. rkent Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 You can enter the value to offset at the command line or pick the DYN button at the bottom of the screen. Quote
DODGE Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Thanks RK I have got it going again now, but something was wrong here. After that I lost some layers???? I have transferred the whole drawing into another template to be safe. I think I have some Gremlins somewhere. Thanks for your help. Dodge Quote
Organic Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Are the layers simply turned off or frozen perhaps? Quote
Arizona Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Layer filters have made me think I had lost layers. Quote
DODGE Posted April 25, 2011 Author Posted April 25, 2011 Hi Dink Yes I had some layers frozen, but I don't know how. I didn't touch that area at all I was working in Layer 0 then all of a sudden the offset thing happened and then a couple of minutes later I had the layer problem. Really strange. Cheers Dodge Quote
KrazyMann225 Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 sounds like you may have turned of your dynamic input, but i think it was gremlins messing with your frozen layers Quote
