Hi Guys

I am halfway through a drawing spent 4 days on it so far.

I can't seem to OFFSET anymore.

Quite simply when I click my offset toolbar i get:

SPECIFY OFFSET DISTANCE OR - Through.

Before I used to click the toolbar and got:

SPECIFY OFFSET DISTANCE - and then there was the little box to type the distance. I can't seem to get that back now.

I haven't changed anything or clicked anything by accident, it just started doing this halfway through this drawing, I'm using AutoCad 2009

Anybody help got to get this finished by the morning.

You can enter the value to offset at the command line or pick the DYN button at the bottom of the screen.

Thanks RK

I have got it going again now, but something was wrong here. After that I lost some layers????

I have transferred the whole drawing into another template to be safe.

I think I have some Gremlins somewhere.

Thanks for your help.

Are the layers simply turned off or frozen perhaps?

Hi Dink

Yes I had some layers frozen, but I don't know how.

I didn't touch that area at all I was working in Layer 0

then all of a sudden the offset thing happened and then a couple of minutes

later I had the layer problem. Really strange.

sounds like you may have turned of your dynamic input, but i think it was gremlins messing with your frozen layers
