dr_volki Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 Hi guys i got a little problem with autocad2008 we used to create a .eps file for our database which back then was created in autocad 2000 to read certain things of the drawing now when i create a .eps file on autocad 2008 using the PSOUT command it break all the text into lines which makes it useless for the database to use. is there any way to get the psout command to keep the text rather breaking the text into lines? help is very much appreciated Quote
dr_volki Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 quick cheeky bump  an addition this is what i need it to look like (the marked bit) which doesn't seem to work when you use it in autocad 2008 anyone got an idea if it's just a setting i could change somewhere or do i need some sort of plugin? dbroada Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 can you create your own postscript printer PC3 file to get different results and then use the print command rather than the PSOUT one? no idea if it will help Quote
dr_volki Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 i'm not sure. will i be able to open and edit a pc3 file with notepad? i need to insert coordinates so the database can read the file properly and show me where certain things are around site. Quote
dbroada Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 you misunderstand. Use Plotter Manager|Create Plotter wizzard to add a new plotter to AutoCAD. Chose an Adobe printer and there are several postscript options available to you. When you have finished adding the plotter you will have a new PC3 file available in your list of printers. The final result will be a .eps file similar, but hopefully different, to the one created by the PSOUT method. Quote
dr_volki Posted April 26, 2011 Author Posted April 26, 2011 i just tried it with lvl1 and lvl2 but it still explodes text into lines Quote
dr_volki Posted April 27, 2011 Author Posted April 27, 2011 no worries thanks for trying to help Quote
