mlbuxbaum Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 I know that this sounds petty, but when i open up Autocad 2011 the grid is small and doesnt fill the entire screen like it use to or like it does in class. What settings should i check and change? Quote
dbroada Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 very few people here use grid - but I am one of them so.... do you have a grid that isn't where you want it or is it too course to see? If its too small you need to set your LIMITS or continue reading. If its the spacing that is wrong right click the grid button at the bottom of the screen and select settings. The default I HATE is adaptive grid. Uncheck this (and if you want select display grid beyond limits). If you make these changes in your template filethey will be there when you start a new drawing. JD Mather Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I can tell you that I turned off the grid in my second CAD class as a student back in the last century (1987) and seldom turned it back on since (there are legit uses, but I don't usually want or need the grid). I also turn off Limits. Quote
