ReMark Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 What about the max size? Preferences for a lazer versus an inkjet? Monochrome versus color? What's the budget on this new toy? Quote
doGnation1 Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 im open to any suggestions....but probably color, inkjet, max size at least 11 X 17... Quote
ReMark Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Max size 11x17 so min size is 8.5x11, right? Sure you don't need a little more flexiblity here? Maybe the ability to go 24" wide by any length (using a roll-fed plotter)? You could check out the latest HP Designjets or Oce' or ??? Quote
doGnation1 Posted October 1, 2008 Author Posted October 1, 2008 probably not.....99% of everyting printed on this printer will be 11X17.....ive tried a hp 9600 but there is some bad glitches with it and cad 2000 * 2008...... so im wanting some personal experience suggestions with a new one... Quote
jaylo23 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 Ive had an RICOH Aficio 3245C in my office for the past 3 years and have had no issues whatsoever. Ive ran AutoCAD 2006, 07, 08, and a trial version of 09 and never had any glitches. It has alot of the standard bells and whistles plus a few others. Quote
hotrodz0321 Posted October 1, 2008 Posted October 1, 2008 dont buy the hp 9600...is slow as a mug and often will only print half of your page if it is busy or contains images...i would seriously look into a laser printer with 2 trays (one for 8.5x11 and one for 11x17)...you wont be able to beat the quality and speed....it will have paid for itself in the ink savings alone throughout the life of the printer Quote
