mvcorrea Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 Hi All, I own a calcomp 1218, and mainly want to use to trace outlines from logos (vector) Could you please help-me in finding the appropriate software for such a job? In the past I use to work in a company that make vinyl artand one of the features that the software has was to change from line points to tangent/ circle poins from a single click in the puck (I just dont remember the software name), at that time the learning curve was perfect.. thanks to everyone Marcelo Quote
ReMark Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 (edited) Is the 1218 a digitizer? Is the number related to the size or is it a model number? Have you looked on the GTCO/Calcomp website? I found one answer on my own. Your's is a DrawingBoard VI. I still have my DrawingBoard III although I do not currently use it. The software that came with it was called Tabletworks and it allowed for digitizing drawings. I do not recall it having a feature re: line points to tangent/circle points as you describe.
