How to constraint to get exact dimension

Hi Guys,

Good day to all. I do have another query and needs opinions.

I do have an assembly of a flexible jacket and will install a bracket to serve as a holder for bandings. From the edge the distance on the upper bracket is 200mm and on the bottom bracket is 100mm from the edge.

Now, how do I do this? in order to get the exact dimensions given.

I did try to constraint using Tangent but, i am stuck up to that point.

Any help/assistance will be much appreciated.

lemme guest! first edit the .ipt flex jacket. create angular planes which fall under the same dimension given then draw a point on top of it. 2nd go back to the assembly and constrain the bracket with point created using bracket' origin plane. hope this will help....wild guess!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi abigail,

I just tried what you have mentioned and yes, thanks a lot, appreciate it.

Here is the step I did;

1. On the sub-assembly itself, I did create an angular and XY plane offset 100mm

2. Insert the bracket assembly and applied constraint on it.
