Vertige Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I have a paper blueprint of a floor plan, where all units are expressed in mm. I need to transfer this to autocad, so I am wondering how to construct the plan in mm? (changing units, etc.) The scale is in 1:100. Does that matter? (Very precise directions would be greatly appreciated!) Thank you. Quote

Everything should be in metric for you. You can use the UNITS commands to check the units settings. Quote
BIGAL Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Just draw it all at a scale of 1:1 in model space wether it be mm or m just use your layout to rescale and plot at 1:100 Architecturaly its generally in mm and Civil design is in metres. End of the day 820mm = 0.82m Quote
