kopski Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I am currently running Autocad 2010, are there service packs I should install? Would it benefit me to upgrade to 2011 or 2012? Quote
designerstuart Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 from what i see there is not a great difference between 2010 and later versions. whether you upgrade depends on how much money you have and what you use your software for. Quote
ReMark Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 AutoCAD 2010 Update 1: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=13760520&linkID=9240618 Update to 2012 not 2011 if you choose to do so at all. Quote
kopski Posted May 10, 2011 Author Posted May 10, 2011 thanks for the replies.....very helpful any particular reason to skip 2011? or just because 2012 is available? Quote
ReMark Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 I don't think an authorized AutoDesk reseller can legally sell a previous version once the new version has been released. But it has only been a month or so; I guess you could ask but I doubt your are going to get a price break so if you are serious about upgrading why not get the latest release? Maybe you can convince AutoDesk to steeply discount old inventory like car dealers do? Quote
peter Posted July 11, 2012 Posted July 11, 2012 Would there be any problems with 2012 editing 2010 3d drawings Quote
