I am by no means a CAD expert, but I do know this. Copy/Paste is a windows command, not a CAD command. However, CAD seems to not like Copy/Paste either. Generally the only times I have issues with Copy/Paste is when I try to do so with 'ungrouped' lines. However, CAD seems to do quite well with copy/paste when it is BLOCKS. I can even copy/paste several blocks without issue, where if it were lines, I certainly would.

i never have a problem with copy or paste, and i use it on all sorts of objects frequently. but you will know what works for you and your computer by trying it a few times!

Copy / Paste has never failed me.

What exactly is the message saying on the Command Line?

You can't do it in Block Editor or Ref Editor

If the solutions provided in the other thread did not help, then please explain the problem. If this drawing was created in a version needing the HotFix I posted in the other thread, you will need to open the drawing, save it to a previous version, then open and see if you can Copy&Paste. I previously used DWGGateway to open the bad files and resave them, I do not believe this is available anylonger, you might try DWG TrueView.
