vertical horizons Posted May 12, 2011 Posted May 12, 2011 While in an .IDW, when I dimension an angle, if I use "ALT + 0176" to create a degree symbol, it looks good on my computer screen. But when I plot the drawing, there is a space between the dimension & the degree symbol. Any ideas as to why this is, and what can be done to remove the spacing? Quote
dennerj Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 I also have used the alt codes for many things. I had this same problem recently but with the diameter symbol. I retyped it in and it seemed to fix it. The problem could also be your printer trying to interpret the alt code and failing. So basically you get and underscore or a rectangle instead. Could be the font also? Try using the alt code then manually changing the symbol to arial (if your not using arial). Not sure the exact problem but hopefully these steps will help. They've worked for me. Quote
Jack_O'neill Posted May 18, 2011 Posted May 18, 2011 Try alt+248 instead. That is the original ascii code for the degree symbol. makes it look like this...90° Quote
