GuyBrown Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Hi all Amazing! You think you're good (enough) and then you get stumped! Nodes on my polyline dissappear / become invisible if they are too close to another node. How can I get my nodes back? It seems that if I draw a polyline with let's say, 4 nodes that are 10 units apart, all nodes will be visible. If I move one node closer to another one, one of the two close nodes will disappear - the polyline will remain - just one of the nodes will disappear. Any ideas? Quote
ajaybay Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Hello, When you say nodes, do you mean grips? If you have a running snap on, it could be that when you move a grip it is locking on to the next available grip or end point; the grip seems to have disappeared but it's just occupying the same space as it's near neighbour. Could this be it? Quote
eldon Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 As the problem is something that you are seeing, it would be of great help if you were to post a screen shot. Otherwise, we are just guessing and asking more questions Quote

Otherwise, we are just guessing and asking more questions Here's a snapshot - nodes/grips not sure of the correct name, yeah, grips i think. When I copy and paste into a new dwg file all the grips are visible. It's just happening in the document I'm working on so I'm guessing it must be something in the document settings. Any help appreciated. Quote
eldon Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 Due to the deafening silence, I guess that the problem is unique to you AutoCAD has its little quirks, and one just gets over them, like moving it all to a new drawing. It certainly doesn't seem that you are doing anything wrong. Quote
