Jadgpanther Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 hi i have cad lt 2010 , is it possible to save a cad dwg somehow, so that one of our clients can view in Autovue v19.3.1 ? thanks Quote
Organic Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Save it as a 2000 dxf. I am not familiar with Autovue although it will almost certainly be able to open that. Quote
ReMark Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 AUTOVUE AutoVue delivers native document viewing capabilities for hundreds of document types, including 2D CAD drawings, graphics, Office or PDF documents—all without the authoring software and without undergoing costly and error-prone document conversions. AutoVue was developed by Cimmetry Systems. Cimmetry Systems was taken over by Oracle. The lastest version is 20.1 I believe. I would think that you could save a drawing back to a 2004 or 2007 drawing file format and v19.3.1 would be able to open it. I don't think you need to go back to 2000 or save to a DXF format in my opinion. Quote
Jadgpanther Posted May 16, 2011 Author Posted May 16, 2011 hi thanks for replies i will try 2000 dxf (cant supply pdf, they want to be able to make changes to drawing) thanks Quote
ReMark Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Call the client. Ask them if AutoVue will open a DWG file directly. I'll willing to bet it can. Read this: http://www.oracle.com/us/products/applications/autoVue/autovue-supported-file-formats-065285.pdf Quote
