enemigoman Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 Hello: I use AutoCAD 2011 (although the problem started in 2010 version) in Win7 environment, and have the following problem: Whenever I publish or print to pdf, using ACAD's own "to PDF" feature, many symbols in Arial font are not printed correctly. Problematic symbols or characters are, as far as I know, the degree symbol "°" and the spanish-language "´" ("tílde", we call it) and "ñ". In any case, it will print dots instead of the whole word, not just the character. When the pdf file is opened, the following message apears: Cannot find or create the font 'ArialMT'. Some characters may not display or print correctly. However, if I use a third party pdf writer such as PrimoPDF, there is no such problem. But I don't like to use those because with ACAD's own pdf maker you can make a single pdf document with all sheets as opposed to file per sheet. Obviously, for most of you the spanish characters won't be an issue, but perhaps someone has been affected by the degrees symbol and has an answer. Additionally, I have to say that we have installed Adobe Reader 9, but the problem dates back to a couple of previous versions. Thanks, Quote
BlackBox Posted May 16, 2011 Posted May 16, 2011 In your PC3 properties, you forgot to set the fonts to 'download as soft font'. Quote
