Organic Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 ? I had a look at the file and I see 3 complete road cross sections more or less. Are you saying you want to replicate the general format of those for a new road design given you have the existing natural surface levels and the proposed finished surface levels? You would have to manually do it AutoCad. Writing a lisp is barely even feasible (and a fairly signifigant job) in this case given the possibilities for the templates (i.e. gutter profile etc) that could be applied. There are already plenty of programs that can do this and there is little point in trying to reinvent the wheel so to speak. You should look into programs such as AutoCad Civil 3D (which can do it), Carson CivilCad or any other survey/civil design software package. Quote

Organic Posted May 17, 2011 Posted May 17, 2011 AutoCad Civil 3D. http://usa.autodesk.com/civil-3d/ You will need to define/create a surface (using your natural surface levels). You will then need to create the alignment for the road. Then you apply a template to the road combined with your design surface (your finished surface levels). Then you can generate you longsections and cross sections (including cut and fill volumes) automatically from your alignment. Quote
