tennis4you Posted May 21, 2011 Posted May 21, 2011 I am struggling to find any hatches I like online and the default ones for AutoCAD are not enough. I need good ones for stone, brick, roofing, detailing, etc. Anyways... I imported a few hatch patterns from MicroStation and they worked in AutoCAD but they were given some interesting names but they worked OK. I renamed them so they made more sense and they stopped working. Any reason why renaming them would not allow me to use those patterns anymore? Thanks! Quote
BIGAL Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 Not sure about the import problem but there is a product you buy it that will write the hatch .pat code for you search for hatch generator ? Quote
hugha Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 The filename must match the pattern name so you must change both the file's name and the pattern name within the file at the same time e.g: File ZOT.PAT should contain the pattern named "ZOT". If that doesn't get you going, try posting the files for inspection. Hugh Adamson www.hatchkit.com.au Quote

ReMark Posted May 23, 2011 Posted May 23, 2011 There are any number of places to obtain hatch patterns on the web. Some are free for the download and others come with some cost. A simple search should turn up more than enough choices to satisfy just about everyone. Quote

You can also add the file content to the end of acad.pat (for imperial units) or acadiso.pat (metric units) files locating in the support folder. Quote
