FIFTHTEXAS Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 HI Tying to insert an x-ref into a drawing, the x-ref itself looks ok, as soon as insert it comes in on an angle, obviously it is taken of a site plan, how can i set it to come into the drawing correctly, tried using the ucs tool, to set it to world, using 3 point. something i am doing wrong can anyone advise Quote
designerstuart Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 you should be able to set usc to world without using 3 point...... but yes, usc is probably the problem here. command UCS > World Quote
CyberAngel Posted May 24, 2011 Posted May 24, 2011 An xref always matches its world UCS to the current drawing's UCS, even if the current UCS isn't the world UCS. If that's the issue, then designerstuart is right. Sometimes a plan isn't oriented to true north, even if the survey is. In that case you need to find at least two points that the two drawings have in common. You can insert the xref and use ALIGN to match the two points. A last resort is to find north in the drawing that doesn't follow it and rotate everything to the proper angle. If none of that works, give us more information about your situation. Quote
