Devented
I have a DWF file that I am trying to get into a DWG (AutoCAD Mechanical 2010) file. Ive tried using dwfattach and a ton of other workarounds (like trying to use a 3rd party converter) such as this. The reason I'm posting this in Inventor is because I'm thinking that the solution may be something like this: DWF>Inventor>autocad. I've tried opening up the file in Inventor though, and it just directs me to DWF Viewer (the file opens fine in there), or I can choose no, but then it says it is not a valid .iam. Any help would be appreciated. I tried to attach the file, but it is to big. I will email it to anyone interested. Thanks in advance. MarkFlayler
DWF files were meant to protect the creator of the data from this type of reverse engineering. The best you can hope for is to use it as a DWF overlay in AutoCAD.
JD Mather
The easiest method might be to contact the owner of the intellectual property and request a dwg.
