gotchy Posted May 27, 2011 Posted May 27, 2011 I have read on a German blog that I go to,where over constraints of a sketch will dissallow the option to use the pierce relation. How do I delete a constraint. I get a message "entities which do not belong to the active sketch cannot be deleted" I am attempting to use the pierce relation on two arcs of a Corvette hood so that I can use either the loft tool or the fill surface tool, and I do not get the pierce relation to rear it's head and opt me to use it, in fact I get no invitation to use any relation, after selecting a point on one arc, then CTRL select of an arc on another plane. SuperCAD Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 You should be able to expand the constraint icon and select/delete the offending constraint. Quote
JD Mather Posted May 28, 2011 Posted May 28, 2011 I get a message "entities which do not belong to the active sketch cannot be deleted" Is the sketch with the relation active? I am attempting to use the pierce relation on two arcs ... Will a Coincident do the same thing? Zip and attach the sldprt here (only need the two sketches). Quote
shift1313 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Pierce relation will only be available if your sketch intersects a curve on another plane. For what you are doing you will want your end points to be coincident. If you can give us some screen shots of a file maybe we can give you some better direction. http://www.solidworkslessons.info/#!__cs-projected-curves Quote
