Hey CadMonkies,

I am working with a 3D model, we are using a addon for ACAD which allows us to clip the view port (ie: allows us to look at everything on the drawing but only between certain elevations { for example I could clip my drawing to only view between elevation (Z) 1000 - 1020 })

My question is: Is there any way to have text/Polylines show up even if they are not within the clipping range, specifically we would like to have a grid set up say at 0 elevation, and have it the same grid when we clip through our levels without having to manually copy it to each level we plan on clipping.

Thanks!!

If you could Identify the Add-on, I will see if I can help.

The add-on is pretty obscure, its called AMINE, I am sure there are other addons that do similar things (we design 3D mine layouts, so we often clip level by level and have the entire design to scale in 3D)

Have you tried contacting them? AMINE

Are you doing the clipping in Paper Space or Model Space?

cam.jpgYes, we have good contacts with AMINE, though they are a small company and their main programmer is often away (like now) with buisiness and training... so obscure things like this often go on deaf ears...

The clipping is done in Model space, I have included a SS of the set up

on the left viewport is the mine viewing from the Right, and the viewport on the right is the level viewing in plan view
