Xref clip selected even when Frame=0

I just received Autocad 2012, when I open a drawing and start to work in it, I have discovered something quite annoying. I start a crossing window to select objects away from my Xref background, the Xclipframe is set to '0' so that the boundary cannot be seen or selected, yet they still are. Even with Frames set to '0' I can roll over the Xclip boundaries and they will be be highlighted as if to be selected. I cant find any variable other than 'Xclipframe', or 'Frame' to try to help with this issue. Any and all advice will be most appreciated!

Apparently, as always, my variable settings were not correct.

FrameSelection = 0

PickDrag = 0

'Frameselection' was the main problem. It was default set to '1' and would not leave the Xrefs alone. 'PickDrag' just cleaned it up and now its back to perfect! Thanks to anyone that took time to work on this!
