CZSteve Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I have a rec'd a drawing from another individual where the building is an XREF in the drawing. Anyway I can blow-up the XREF so I can freeze layers? I've e-mailed requesting a different drawing but the architect is currently out of the office. Quote
RobDraw Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 XREF layers can be frozen. That being said, you can bind the XREF (use the insert option) and then explode it, if you would like. Do this by typing "XR", select the XREF, then click on the "Bind" button, choose the insert option here. Hit Okay twice. Now you can explode the block. Quote
Dipali Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 as said by Rob above you can freeze xref layers without binding & exploding also. for some reason if the 'layfeze' tool does not work, use 'xlist' comand to identify the layer & than go to layer manager & freeze that layer. Quote
Tiger Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 the 'layfeze' tool should be 'layfrz' - just to avoid the confusion Quote
irneb Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 Just as the OP is in 2002, the LayFrz/LayOff commands are Express Tools. Quote
