System lags when moving viewport grip

I've got a normal single viewport in paper view. When attempting to adjust its size by using grips the whole system goes into "syrup mode". In other words, I get an incredible lag such that it takes me 10-15 seconds to move one grip. As soon as I let go of the grip everything is back to normal. Anyone else experienced this?

Turn the layer manager off before doing that. I think there was a patch for that, have you checked for any 2011 MEP patches?

This problem is actually with Acad 2009, but I'll try it anyway :)

Two words never to see in the same sentence : annotative hatching.

Whenever I've found this lag it was due to "excessive" use of ahatch. Though what "excessive" means depends on quantity & complexity of these hatches.

Use qselect to filter for annotation hatches and use the property palette to make them normal, see if the lag's gone.

Is this happening in a particular drawing or in several drawings or in all drawings?
