I can link AutoCAD Tables to excel files but I don't know how to place a title

on that Table. Is there a proceedure to do that? I would like a excel linked table with

Bill of Material for its top Title.

Select a cell>Right-Click in the cell>Cell Style>Title

At this time I have my items Titles (Item, Description, Cat No, Qty & Units) in my first row in my excel file and

my AutoCAD table. Should I add a merged cell on the top of my excel spread sheet or I add a row on the top

of my autocad table first?

I did the Proceedure mentioned above but that did not work. It only made bigger text in the far left cell I would

like for the title text to run across the top of the AutoCAD table.

Another problem in my linked table is when I left justy text. When I do that the cell text hits the left line in the

column. Is there a solution to that.

Could you post your files here? At least a screen shot.

I have been through those two webpages without any luck. I think it might have something to do

with TableStyles but I have had no luck on creating a Title cell on my table. I guess I will keep hunting

and picking buttons. AutoDesk has done a good job hidding it.

If you have an answer, let me know.

It should be simple to get a single box Title on top of an table.

I found a AutoDesk Publication called "Keep it inside AutoCAD: Data Extraction Direct to AutoCAD Tables"

by David Cohn. Publication GD401-P It puts a "Cost Estimate" Title on a table on page 20 but I can't figure

out how he does it.

The artical mentions example files can be download form AutoDesk Website but it does not give the

location so I find them. Another dead end and no Solution.
