Faouweb Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Hi, I don't know what I did but I can't open an ISO.idw anymore This is the message: it's said "Please open it and..." how can i open it? Thank you. Quote
JD Mather Posted July 10, 2011 Posted July 10, 2011 Did you do File Open and browse to that location and then save rather than File New and try to use that template? (you image says you didn't, it indicates that you did File>New rather than File Open) Quote
Faouweb Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 I do "File New and try to use that template?" Quote
Faouweb Posted July 10, 2011 Author Posted July 10, 2011 Now i have changed the projects to SAMPLES, and open iso.idw and it's OK. but from New I still can't open this file. Quote
JD Mather Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 I do "File New and try to use that template?" That is not what I said to do. There is more information about what you have done that you are not sharing. The information you did supply indicates the template you are trying to use needs migrating. Therefore, following the instructions do a File>Open, not a File>New and save the file as a template to migrate. Now you should be able to do File>New. Quote
Faouweb Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 My language is French and it's difficult to explain in English. The story is: the company gave to me a laptop (with a Dutch language) to work, with Inventor 2011 and 2010, i don't understand Dutch and I removed some files, between these files i think some of inventor 2011, i copied TEMPLATES of Inventor 2010 and past it in TEMPLATES of Inventor 2011. -------------------------------------------------- That's what i have: http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/8440/invent1.png http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/9090/invent2.png Quote
JD Mather Posted July 11, 2011 Posted July 11, 2011 Your English is certainly better than my French (or Dutch). In any case the answer is the same. The 2010 Templates need to be migrated to 2011. This is easily done by File>Open (not File>New) Save As>Save as Template (you will have to do this for each one ipt, idw, iam) After that you will be able to do File>New Quote
Faouweb Posted July 11, 2011 Author Posted July 11, 2011 Merci beaucoup monsieur Mather Thank you Quote
