RickyCole Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Can i import an image (such as a photo of a plant) into autocad and print it in colour? I can currently print the image but without colour. Cheers. Quote
SLW210 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Do you have a color plotter/printer? What settings are you using? Quote
RickyCole Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 Yes I have a colour printer. What settings should I be using? Quote
SLW210 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Color settings would be nice. Make sure in the properties of your printer/plotter you enable color and use a color .stb or .ctb in plot style table. I use the default acad.ctb for color. Just post a screenshot of your plot dialog box. Quote
rkmcswain Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 ...and use a color .stb or .ctb in plot style table. I use the default acad.ctb for color. Plot style tables have no effect on whether or not an image prints in color. Quote

rkmcswain Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Correct, I forgot he was using an image. It's also worth nothing that plot style tables only have an effect on colors 1-255. So if you are using a monochrome plot style table and you need a few things to show in color, you can assign those items a Truecolor and not have to worry about creating a new plot style. Quote
