Badgers Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Hello, I'm currently trying to convert old IntelliCAD files into AutoCAD files. Unfortunately, when I try to open the file with IntelliCAD 6, the program displays a message saying that the file is corrupt and that it can't recover the file. I have also tried to open the file in IntelliCAD 2000 and IntelliCAD 98 with similar results. When trying to load the file in Drafix or AutoCAD LT I recieve a message saying that the drawing file is not valid. Is there any way to load and convert these files? Also, I'm struggling to install IntelliCAD 2000 onto a new computer. After the computer confirms the password and unzips the file from the disc, the install process seems to stop and nothing happens. Is there any way to get the install out of this stalled process? Thanks for the help Quote
SLW210 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Sounds like the files are corrupt. Did you create them or just receive them from another source? Quote
ReMark Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 IntelliCAD 2000 would have been a 32-bit program. Is your new computer 32-bit as well or did you make the move to 64-bit? I think your IntelliCAD files are beyond salvaging. Quote
Badgers Posted July 12, 2011 Author Posted July 12, 2011 Thanks for responding. I did not create these drawings, they were made back in 1998 and since the company that I'm interning for no longer uses IntelliCAD I was tasked with converting them to AutoCAD. Most were easily converted, but there are around 60 files that seem to be corrupted. My new computer is a 32 bit computer with Windows XP. Its odd that it won't load because I was able to load IntelliCAD 6 and IntelliCAD 98, but not 2000. Thanks again for the help. Quote
