Hi all,

I have two drawings, both in unit: meters, UCS world (however I think that doesn't matter). How come that a hatch with same scale appears denser in one drawing than the other?

Thanks

I have no idea. Could you post the drawings or provide some screen shots?

I have this happen to me too. What I think happened is that one of the hatch was created using metric units, meters, and the other was created using imperial units, such as inches. Try scaling the less dense hatch by a factor of 25.4.

We never use imperial system, (Belgium - always metric) so I'm not sure if that's the reason. I tried to send these drawings but when I saved them and reopened, hatches were the same....strange...If this happens to me again, I'll try to post these hard-headed-stubborn hatches....little b@stards...

thanks guys

are the 2 drawings in Paper space or model space... depending on the scale the drawings are printed at it could throw off the size of the hatch.

Check and see weather the hatches are being created from the acad.pat or acadiso.pat

My plan is in modelspace and hatches are annotative. I have this problem again with the "earth"-pattern (see attachement): both hatches have same scale but appear differently Saving and re-opening my plan doesn't help but what does help is changing angles so the hatch needs to be recalculated... thanks for your help guys!

That is a good question. I took a look at the file, although I can't think of what is causing it.

I have no answer for the why they appear differently.

The PROBLEM with both hatches is the SCALE is TOO DENSE at 0.0800. I set both scales to 1.000 and they act normally.
